Let’s break it down:

Press the Power button to turn your LifeLine on, and press down on the dial until “Max HP” is selected. Turn the dial left and right to set your character’s Max HP. Your LifeLine will illuminate to display your health.
Press down on the dial until “Current HP” is selected. As your party adventures on, rotate the dial left or right to add or remove health and apply damage. The percentage of health left will remain illuminated on your LifeLine.
Lucky you! Press down on the dial and navigate to “Temporary HP”. Rotate the dial to add additional health!
